Open the group page and tap Join group. If it then says you don’t have permission to view content, ignore it — the member list is private by design. You joined. No browser handy? Send any email to ringmast4r-beta+subscribe@googlegroups.com from your Google account and confirm the reply — same result.

Pick an app.

Open the app’s link in your phone’s browser, not on a computer. Same Google account as Step one. Tap Become a tester, then Install. Google reviews each build separately, so a link may say the app isn’t available until its review clears.
