The debut Feist comic and the origin of the Dabel Brothers relationship. Dabel used the Silverberg "Legends" anthology as their entry point — approaching Feist, Silverberg, and Tad Williams simultaneously for short-story adaptations. All three agreed. The Wood Boy was published under the Roaring Studios imprint (Dabel's early name) via Devil's Due before the Marvel partnership existed.
The flagship Feist adaptation — 12 issues covering the entirety of "Magician: Apprentice." Full color, Western comic format. Brett Booth handled the opening four issues with realistic, detailed figure work; Ryan Stegman took over from #5 with a manga-influenced aesthetic and heavier line weight. Multiple reviewers noted the mid-series style shift as jarring. Feist corrected individual panels on crydee.com throughout production: "It's not Aglaranna. I believe that's a memory flashback to Ashen-Shugar. They got the helmet wrong, too."
Issues #1 and #2 each had a $5.95 premium variant with original painted covers by Don Maitz. Issue #3 exists in two printings — the original Dabel Brothers print and a Marvel reprint after the September 2006 partnership.

Issue #1 in 9.8 NM is the key single-issue collectible from this run. Issues #1 and #2 premium variants (Don Maitz painted covers, $5.95 cover price) command a significant premium over standard Cover A copies. Issue #3 exists in two printings; the Dabel Brothers original has a slightly different UPC than the Marvel reprint.
The bridge series continuing into "Magician: Master" territory. Bryan J.L. Glass continues as sole writer; Ryan Stegman handles the interior art, with Jason Chan providing distinctive painted covers on issues #2–5. Feist confirmed both this series and the subsequent Master deal simultaneously: "I was under the impression last I talked about this stuff that they'd be soliciting their accounts in January, and well, it's January... Launched as a digital-first exclusive on Marvel's iOS app, with print collections to follow. Only 3 of the planned 5 issues were completed. The series was abandoned mid-arc: issues #4 and #5 were never released, the story arc was never concluded. A print hardcover and trade paperback collecting the 3 completed issues were published, but neither contains a satisfying conclusion — they end where the digital issues stopped. This is the only Feist comic adaptation without resolution.
